Recycling

This days everyone that now me are giving to me old broken pieces of silver, to melt, I have enough to work for a good wile. But my daughter,last Saturday bring to me a lovely earring, was to beautiful to melt, but was only one, I decided to make a ring with it. She came today, so grumpy because her internet it’s not working, she was using my computer and I was working behind her… I asked her: do you love me? and she ask me, why, I said close your eyes, she did, now give to me your hand, she did, when she felt the ring in her finger…
I can make thousand of rings only to see that looking, that smile…

We manage to interview our interviewer, and the resold it’s fantasti. Now everyone can meet Susi, a wonderful woman, dedicated to everyone else.

School it’s almost over

After 9 weeks and with only one day left, I think I did learn a lot of silversmith skills.
This ring it’s very special, it’s for my mother, she is the most strong woman I never meet, She is fighting with a cancer for the last 10 years, and I love her so much, our relationship it’s impossible, I suppose because we are the same, like two train machines in opposite direction, but we love each other and that it’s the wonderful thing in our relation.
Last month, was her 70 Birthday and we couldn’t go to Spain for the celebrations, so I decided to give to her something special… I’ll give to her for her birthday, my birthday, and this beautiful ring. She don’t know we are going, this Saturday she is going to my sister house for lunch, and I’ll be there, we will celebrate my birthday and she will have the presents…
The ring it’s made with sterling Silver, 18 k gold and a beautiful diamond. I just finish it yesterday in the school.
I think my mother will be the happier woman in the world next Saturday, she deserve it.

Silver Pendant

Any chance to give it a name???
My imagination it’s to busy at the moment with different pieces in silver to allow me to think in names for my pieces, I’m making a little of everything, practicing the soldering techniques. It’s no easy, especially with the rings, but I’m getting there.
At the moment I’m only have two pieces in my shop http://www.etsy.com/shop/Evarel?ref=si_shop , the butterfly and this one, the rest are not good enough, what make my daughter really happy…

I finish it…

After be melting it, doing it bad, undoing it a couple of times, making new pieces and going a few days more to the school, It is finish…

The school pieces

Last week in the school we only have theory, history of the Irish Silver, was very interesting, we went to the teacher workshop, amazing, we was allow to see diamonds, different types of gold, silver, white gold, platinum… But the best for me was when the other students was with the diamonds and the teacher ask me for my little butterfly, he was impressed with my work, he said to me that I need the design for my stamp and register my self as a silversmith, he will help me, that made me feel so proud of my self…
For the last few weeks my back decided to be in pain again, I can’t move to much, but that give me more time to be playing in my workshop, today I decided to do something with the pieces I made in the school, and they finish like that. What you think?

It’s not finish…

I didn’t weld it yet, and the body have to be more round, but I have all the pieces almost ready to the last step, now I have to buy silver soldering, that it’s not cheap to give the last real touch. What I didn’t think was if will be a pendant or a broach. Any suggestions?
